Understand your treatment

Soften the lines.
Keep the conversation personal.

Your eyebrows lift. Your eyes smile. Your forehead moves. Those everyday expressions are where wrinkle relaxer conversations begin.

Wrinkle relaxers are prescription injectable treatments made with botulinum toxin. They temporarily reduce nerve signaling to selected muscles, helping soften expression-related lines. They do not add volume in the way a dermal filler does. [2]

At Linea, Tatiana evaluates your face at rest and in motion, reviews your health history, and talks through what you would like to change. Whether you are curious about your first treatment or considering a different approach, there is room to ask questions before deciding.

Three common areas

The details that
make a difference.

The right approach depends on your anatomy and the specific product. Approved indications vary. [3]

Injectable treatment · Stock footage
01 / FOREHEAD

Horizontal forehead lines

These lines become more noticeable when you raise your eyebrows. Your consultation looks at forehead movement alongside brow position and the muscles between the brows, so the plan considers the upper face together.

02 / BETWEEN THE BROWS

Frown lines, or “11s”

Vertical creases between the eyebrows can stand out when you frown or concentrate. Talk with Tatiana about whether reducing that muscle activity could address the lines you notice.

03 / OUTER EYES

Crow’s feet

The small lines at the outer corners of the eyes appear with smiling or squinting. Discuss your priorities for this area, including the expression you want to preserve and the changes treatment may achieve.

Forehead lines, frown lines, and crow’s feet are approved cosmetic indications for BOTOX Cosmetic in adults; this does not mean every product has the same indications. [3]

Product options at Linea

A choice made
with you.

BOTOX® CosmeticDysport®Xeomin®Daxxify®Letybo®

Linea’s wrinkle relaxer menu includes these options. Ask which is being recommended, what it is approved to treat, and how its expected onset and duration fit your priorities.

Brand names are not a substitute for a personalized plan. Formulations, labeling, and dosing differ; units are not interchangeable. Availability and the proposed product are confirmed at consultation. [3]

From your first question to follow-up

Your appointment,
step by step.

Come with your questions.
Leave knowing the next step.

01

A conversation first.

Share the areas that bother you and your previous experience with injectables. Your consultation includes health history, medications, allergies, goals, and the benefits, limitations, and risks of treatment.

02

A considered plan.

If treatment is appropriate, Tatiana explains the recommended product and areas, expected changes, and cost. Treatment uses small injections in selected muscles. You can ask about comfort options before starting.

03

Clear next steps.

You receive aftercare instructions and guidance on when to assess your response. Ask how to contact the practice, what changes are expected, and when a follow-up or another visit may be appropriate.

Is it right for you?

A consultation
comes first.

The goal is a treatment decision you understand and feel comfortable making.

Wrinkle relaxer treatment may be considered for adults concerned about expression-related lines. The right choice also depends on your health and whether the proposed result matches your expectations.

Bring these to the conversation

  • Your goals, questions, and any upcoming events.
  • A complete list of medications and supplements.
  • The brand, date, and response to previous injectable treatments.
  • Any allergies, prior reactions, or planned procedures.
  • Pregnancy, breastfeeding, or relevant health conditions.

BOTOX Cosmetic is contraindicated with certain allergies or infection at the proposed injection site. Your clinician must review suitability. [3]

Precision starts with assessment

Your face
sets the plan.

You do not need to arrive knowing a brand, a number of units, or exactly which area to treat. Start with what you notice and the questions you have.

Your provider’s role is to explain your options clearly—including when a different treatment, a different timeline, or no treatment makes more sense.

Allow time for change

What happens
after your visit.

This is a general guide. Your product and individual response determine your timeline.

RIGHT AFTER TREATMENT

A little time to settle.

Routine activities are often possible after a visit, but redness, swelling, small injection marks, or bruising may occur. Follow your provider’s instructions and allow flexibility around important events. [1]

OVER THE FOLLOWING DAYS

A gradual change.

The AAD reports that many people notice results within 3–7 days. The full benefit can take longer, and different products have different timelines. Confirm when your provider wants you to assess your response. [1] [2]

OVER THE FOLLOWING MONTHS

Review your response.

The AAD describes improvements lasting around 3–4 months, sometimes longer. Your result may differ. Discuss repeat treatment based on the product used, how you respond, and whether your goals have changed. [1]

Aftercare, made clear

Take care of
your treatment.

Use the instructions provided for your own treatment as your guide. Ask about anything that is unclear before leaving.

01

Be gentle with treated areas.

Avoid rubbing or massaging injection sites. Ask when and how to resume makeup and skincare without unnecessary pressure. [1]

02

Ask about your routine.

Discuss exercise, facial treatments, and any planned activities with your provider. Follow the timing they recommend for your treatment.

03

Keep communication open.

Call Linea if you have concerns or your response differs from what was discussed. Do not arrange extra injections on your own before your provider has assessed you.

Benefits and risks belong together

Know what
to watch for.

Possible side effects include soreness, bruising, swelling, headache, and temporary eyelid or brow drooping. The risks vary with the product, treatment area, and your health history. Ask for the Medication Guide for the product being used. [2] [3]

Botulinum toxin products carry a boxed warning about effects spreading beyond the injection site. Symptoms can develop hours to weeks after treatment. Difficulty swallowing, speaking, or breathing requires immediate medical attention. Severe allergic reactions also require urgent care. [2] [3]

Questions
worth asking.

A treatment should make sense to you before it becomes part of your routine.

Is Botox the same as a wrinkle relaxer?

BOTOX Cosmetic is one brand of botulinum toxin treatment. “Wrinkle relaxer” is a broader term. Linea’s treatment menu also lists Dysport, Xeomin, Daxxify, and Letybo. Your consultation is the place to discuss the product, its approved uses, and why it may fit your goals.

How are wrinkle relaxers different from dermal fillers?

Wrinkle relaxers reduce selected muscle activity. Dermal fillers add volume in specific areas. A line caused by expression and a hollow caused by volume loss may need different approaches. Tell Tatiana what you notice, and she can explain the relevant options.[2]

Will I still be able to smile and show expression?

Tell Tatiana how much movement you want to preserve. Your facial movement and preferences help guide the discussion, but a particular result cannot be guaranteed. Ask what changes are realistic for your anatomy and the proposed treatment.

Does treatment hurt?

You may feel a brief pinch at each injection. Comfort varies from person to person. If needles make you nervous, say so before treatment and ask about comfort measures; a cold pack or topical anesthetic may be considered when appropriate.[2]

How many units will I need?

There is no single number that suits everyone. The product, area, muscle activity, and treatment goals all matter. Units are product-specific and cannot be compared or converted directly across brands. Your provider will explain your proposed plan before treatment.[3]

When will I notice results?

Changes develop gradually. The American Academy of Dermatology reports that many people see a change within 3–7 days, with improvements commonly lasting around 3–4 months. Product choice and individual response can change that timeline. Ask when to assess your own result.[1]

Can I go back to work afterward?

Many people resume routine activities after their visit. Injection marks, redness, swelling, or bruising can still be visible. Follow the aftercare directions you receive, and leave room in your schedule if an event or photograph is important to you.[1]

What should I tell Tatiana before treatment?

Bring an up-to-date medication and supplement list, details of past injectable treatments, and any history of adverse reactions. Mention pregnancy or breastfeeding, planned procedures, and muscle, nerve, breathing, or swallowing conditions. Do not stop a prescribed medicine on your own.[2]

Can wrinkle relaxers be combined with other treatments?

Ask about the concerns you want to address and the order of any treatments you are considering. Linea also offers filler, Sculptra, and skin services. A consultation helps determine whether a combined plan is appropriate and how to space visits.

How much will my treatment cost?

The total depends on the product and your individual treatment plan. Before proceeding, ask for a clear quote and what follow-up includes. Linea also has a payment-plans page if you would like to explore available options.

What if I do not want to continue treatment?

Wrinkle relaxer effects are temporary. Discuss what to expect as the effect wears off and whether or when another treatment would be appropriate. There is no need to decide on a long-term plan before you have had that conversation.[1]
